Hosted by Jamie Parker, MP for Balmain.

Before the Callan Park Act, successive Labor and Liberal governments tried to flog this site off for apartments , aged care facilities and any manner of development.

Dismantling the Act will mean a return to the bad old days of private corporations vying to carve off a slice of our park for themselves.

To join the online public meeting to hear about the government’s proposal and how you can get involved in our campaign to stop it.

Hosted by Inner West Mayor Rochelle Porteous

The NSW Government’s Exposure Bill; Greater Sydney Parklands Trust (released on Friday 1 October 2021) proposes changes to the way Callan Park is managed.

This is privatisation by stealth – gutting the Callan Park Act for commercial gain.

We strongly encourage you to attend the online public meeting to hear important information about the Bill, Council’s response to it and how you can make a submission. You will hear from Friends of Callan Park, Ward Councillors and specialist council staff.
